PERSONAL
TRAINING |
"The
body is a marvellous machine… a chemical laboratory,
a power-house. Every movement, voluntary or involuntary, is
full of secrets and marvels!"
Theodor Herzl (1860 - 1892)
Jason Anderson's GIM-uk provides an innovative
and truly personal approach to training by combining Performance
Conditioning with Rehabilitation and Nutrition.
In order to obtain true optimal health and well-being within
our clients, we consider and address the 3 interrelated areas
of dysfunction:
 |
JOINT MISALIGNMENT |
|
The skeleton is made up of 2 fundamental parts: the Axial skeleton
(pelvis, spine, ribcage and cranium) and the Appendicular skeleton
(legs and arms).
As the Central Nervous System
(CNS) is housed in the spine, the position and mobility
of the pelvis and its effect on the spine will determine
the ‘neural drive’ to the muscles and organs.
So it doesn’t matter how much training
you do, or how good your diet is; In order to maintain
optimal digestive health and muscle strength your skeleton
needs to be in a good position and extremely mobile. |
 |
At GIM-uk we focus on re-organising and mobilising
key skeletal areas () to
initiate the ‘chain-reaction’ of muscle and organ
activation.
If you feel that your posture just isn't what it used to be
please contact
us to request an assessment so we can
free up the channels to get things working again.
 |
MUSCLE WEAKNESS |
|
You could be forgiven for forgetting that the
muscles are organs just like your kidneys, stomach or liver
and are fuelled by the other two movement systems of the body:
Nervous activation via the spine and skeleton and fuel via
food and the digestive system.
With this dependance
on the organs and skeleton we can start to understand
why we experience postural and movement weakness that
just doesn't improve with training alone!
Only once we have re-organised your structure, is it
time to condition the muscles to control your body once
again.
This is achieved by taking the key areas (ankle, knees,
pelvis, spine and shoulders) through a series of movement
patterns in all directions.
|
|
This will stimulate the muscles to stabilise
the joints and prepare your body for every movement eventuality!
If you feel that you are just not as strong
as you used to be, or you experience re-occurring injuries please
contact
us for an assessment so we can construct
you a personalised programme to optimise performance.
 |
DIGESTIVE & ORGAN
HEALTH |
Our skeleton is the framework that ‘houses’
the organs and keeps them in place. Any disruption to our
structure will displace and ‘squash’ the organs
and dramatically affect the way they function.
|
Imagine a hurricane twisting
the framework of your house and the effect it will have
on the plumbing. Everything will be bent out of shape
and start to leak!
This organ displacement and reduced function may manifest
itself in a variety of ways: allergies, blood pressure,
constipation, IBS, bodyfat accumulation around the hips
or tummy; the list is endless!
|
Once we have re-organised the body and stimulated
the muscles to control the body’s segments, we can use
food and its properties to rebalance the chemical status of
the body and address the symptoms of organ dysfunction.
If you would like to understand why you are craving certain
foods or you'd like to shift some of that bodyfat please contact
us to book a nutritional consultation.

"Having to train for my job I have used a
number of trainers over the years and Jason is by far
the best for the following reasons:
Jason is a true professional; He is interested,
punctual and very time accommodating. He always listens
to my specific training needs and then interprets these
needs into what he knows will be of benefit to me.
Jason is always thinking of new and different ways
to specifically enhance and improve my training sessions.
He is also very good at dealing with old and new
injuries, providing ways of rehabbing them and then
working around them so I can keep training to keep my
fitness levels up without making things worse."

Scoliosis Case Study
This Case Study demonstrates the impact of poor posture on
overall physical well-being, and how with insight and
appropriate exercise this can be corrected.

Weight Loss
Case study
Donna came to GIM-uk wanting help and guidance with fat loss.

It was immediately obvious that
we just couldn't put Donna onto a high intensity programme
as she was placing over two stone (14lbs) more of her bodyweight
onto the right leg than her left!

Knee Pain Case study
This Case Study demonstrates how the lack of control at the
hip can lead to problems at the knee.
